Meet Adrianna.
Adrianna Ciccone Andrews is a sought after performer and educator with over 10 years of teaching experience in VIOLIN, FIDDLE, & PIANO. She directed her first music camp as a teenager, and has since taught private lessons and workshops throughout North America.
Adrianna is a graduate of Berklee College of Music in Boston, and has also studied violin performance at Wilfrid Laurier University in Canada. A trained classical violinist and pianist with a passion for traditional fiddle music, Adrianna cut her teeth at fiddle camps across Ontario and Canada, and competed (and won many awards) in national and international fiddle competitions.
During her time at Berklee, she studied extensively with Darol Anger, Matt Glaser, Bruce Molsky and Eugene Friesen. She has been a featured soloist with Berklee World String Orchestra, and has performed with the National Dance Company of Ireland. Her debut album won Instrumental Artist of the Year at the Canadian Folk Music Awards.
Adrianna takes an individualized approach to music education, and especially enjoys exposing her students to new musical styles and traditions while developing a strong technical foundation. If you asked her students what she cares most about, they would probably say “having fun & making music with others ... and also rhythm & intonation!". She believes in the importance of both learning to read music and learning by ear. Adrianna is fascinated by music’s ability to create lasting friendships and unite a community, and strives to encourage creative collaborations among her students.
